Earthmoving equipment orders on the rise from subcontractors

Posted by PlantMiner
Hastings Deering Building and Construction Industries has announced their increased confidence in the growth of residential building. In fact, the company has detailed an unprecedented number of new earthmoving equipment orders from subcontractors. While many people associate the company with larger mining and infrastructure equipment, over 55% of Hastings Deering's total machine sales in Queensland and the Northern Territory came from building construction equipment.

During their biannual “Dig Day”, Buidling and Consutrction Industries' Simon Turnbull said that "the fact sub contractors are spending money is certainly a green light the building construction industry is moving."

We have seen in times where confidence is low, that subbies hang on to their machines, unsure if investment in new capital would pay off. The fact they feel confident enough to place orders for new machinery is clear indication this arena will remain buoyant. With strong capital growth remaining in the sector combined with low interest rates. Residential construction and renovations continue to grow throughout the region.
