Main works are set to start on the new Warren Health Service as Pindan has been awarded the $27.7m contract to construct the building, which is a part of the overall $39.3m project. 

Woolgoolga to Ballina project update


The Woolgoolga to Ballina project will upgrade about 155 kilometres of highway. The project starts approximately six kilometres north of Woolgoolga (north of Coffs Harbour) and ends approximately six kilometres south of Ballina.

Sydney IMAX to be demolished in $700m redevelopment


The $700m Darling Harbour development, The Ribbon, will see Sydney's iconic IMAX theatre demolished and replaced by a luxury hotel, serviced apartments and a revamped IMAX ­cinema.

First construction contract awarded for $220m Adelaide Festival Plaza redevelopment


The first construction contract for Adelaide's $220m Festival Plaza redevelopment has been awarded to construction and development company Lendlease.

The contract is worth an approximate $21m, involves lowering Festival Drive, which will separate vehicle and pedestrian traffic and enable direct, on-foot access between the Riverbank Footbridge and Adelaide Railway Station.

$12m upgrade for Marmion Ave intersections in Perth


Work has started on $12m worth of road upgrades in Perth's northern suburbs. 

The intersections of Marmion and Hepburn Avenue, and Marmion and Whitfords Avenue will benefit from improved traffic flow and safety, and reduced delays in peak periods. 

Contractors announced for East Perth Station upgrade


The $25m contract to upgrade the East Perth Station has been awarded to construction contractor Laing O'Rouke and engingeering firm AECOM. 

Construction is due to start this month to make the station more modern, accessible and better able to host larger crowds expected once the new Perth Stadium which opens next year.
