The City of Sydney has appointed CPB Contractors to design and construct the Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, generating approximately $84 million in revenue for the company.

The project is going to be located within Sydney’s new Green Square precinct and it will feature:

  • A pool complex – largest to be built in Sydney since the 2000 Olympics
  • A 50-metre heated outdoor pool that is et within a larger, irregular shaped ‘beach pool’
  • A 25-metre heated indoor program pool
  • An indoor leisure pool
  • A heated hydrotherapy pool

Gunyama Park will also have facilities such as a skate bowl and fitness training circuit as well as a multipurpose sports field gym, café and crèche.

“Our team has both the local and international expertise and project experience to deliver significant value for our client.

“Our flexible, multipurpose design will ensure that Gunyama is able to host a variety of activities, welcome locals and visitors from across Sydney, and remain adaptable to the city’s future growth requirements and sustainability expectations,” CPB Contractors Managing Director Juan Santamaria said.

Construction on the new Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre is set to commence this year, with completion expected by late 2019.
